The journey

The detail is the difference.

This is a private safari where the quality of the stay is part of the experience. Across Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro, this 3-day journey has a sequence of its own. This itinerary gives priority to well-sited camps and lodges, private guiding and the space to enjoy each setting properly. The route is edited to remove unnecessary backtracking and make the days feel effortless.

You can move between luxury and high-end accommodation depending on where it will make the biggest difference, creating a journey with real character rather than one uniform price point. 3 Days Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Manyara Luxury Safari can be refined around your dates, room requirements and the experiences you want to prioritise.

Day by day

The pace of the route.

Each day is intentionally balanced between meaningful time in the field and the space to enjoy your stay.

Day 01

Arusha Outbound Launch to Tarangire National Park Ancient Baobab Basin

Your private driver-guide meets your traveling party at your Arusha hotel hub or airport desk early for a comprehensive orientation. Board your heavy-duty cruiser and head south along smooth tarmac lines to enter Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient giant baobabs and massive elephant populations, your guide will navigate deep tracking runs around the central swamp layers. Savor a premium field lunch before checking into the spectacular luxury treehouses of Tarangire Treetops by Elewana for an open boma dinner under deep stars.

Day 02

Lake Manyara Groundwater Forest Stroll to the Ngorongoro Rim Crest

Navigate through the unique micro-climates of Lake Manyara National Park, positioned cleanly at the base of the Great Rift Valley wall. Explore dense groundwater forests populated by massive baboon troops, blue monkeys, and famous tree-climbing lions, followed by an unhurried walk along the level tree-canopy walkway structures. Ascend the forested slopes of the conservation area ridge to check into a luxury Rim Room at Ngorongoro Lodge - Member of Meliá Collection for a spectacular evening of butler service overlooking the crater rim.

Day 03

Deep Caldera Volcanic Floor Descent for an Elite Crater Tour & Departure

Descend early down the steep vertical rock walls onto the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. This pristine 260-square-kilometer natural caldera basin provides front-row seats to view resident black-maned lion prides, heavy cape buffaloes, old-tusker elephants, and endangered black rhinos on low-fatigue plain tracks. Savor a gourmet picnic lunch beside the active hippo pool before ascending the rim shelf for a comfortable direct return transit to Arusha or Kilimanjaro international Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.

Before you decide

Useful answers, without the sales pressure.

Are these prices the total cost of the trip?

No. The figures above are planning ranges per person, per day—not a fixed trip total. Your proposal will reflect the exact season, route, accommodation choice and number of travellers.

Can I mix mid-range, luxury and high-end stays?

Yes. Many excellent journeys combine levels of accommodation intentionally: for example, an accessible lodge on arrival, a more immersive camp in the Serengeti, then a standout final stay.

Are the accommodation options always available?

Availability changes with season and lead time. We show three appropriate starting points for each destination, then recommend live options that match your dates and room requirements.

Can this itinerary be adapted for my dates and interests?

Absolutely. The structure is a considered starting point. We can adjust the pace, add nights, change regions, add a beach extension or refine the balance between wildlife, culture and rest.
